Title: Business Architect- Start-Up Precious Metal/ RWA Exchange

Our client is one of the leading conglomerates with a top FinTech/ Finance Brand globally.

You will be a leading voice in the Crypto Assets, RWA or tokenization exchange space. Managing the start-up from zero-to-one of a Precious Metals/ RWA Exchange.

Responsible for the top-level business design and implementation of the digital gold and multi-asset RWA exchange, building a complete business empire covering asset on-chaining, trading, clearing and settlement, and liquidity systems, as well assist with strategy for a separate physical Gold / Precious Metals trading business .

This is a newly created position that requires experience in both traditional finance (especially precious metals) and online digital, licensed Web3/ RWA exchange, and the ability to achieve a systematic design and commercial implementation from Physical Asset , to Digital to Trading / Execution/ Settlements.

The role also demands strong expertise in compliance frameworks, risk management, and liquidity design, ensuring that the exchange operates with institutional-grade reliability while fostering innovation in programmable finance and cross-market integration.

Job Responsibilities

1. Devise the entire Exchange Business Architecture, Design and Implementation Framework (Core part of this position)

• Responsible for the overall business architecture design of the RWA exchange, including the entire lifecycle model of asset access, token issuance, transaction matching, clearing and settlement, and redemption.

• Build a multi-asset trading system (spot/derivatives/financing, etc.) cantered on digital gold.

• Continuously evaluate system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, security, and user experience.

2. Asset Tokenization and Standardization System Design

• Design a standardized mapping mechanism for "offline assets → on-chain tokens," covering rights confirmation, valuation, auditing, and custody.

• Familiar with mainstream RWA protocols and standards (such as ERC-3643), promoting the on-chain implementation of compliant assets and programmable finance.

3. Compliance and Risk Control System Design

• Design KYC/KYB, AML, investor suitability, and transaction monitoring mechanisms based on regulatory frameworks in Hong Kong, Singapore, and the EU (MiCA, etc.).

• Build an on-chain + off-chain collaborative risk control system (identity, transaction, assets).

4. Financial Logic and Smart Contract Mapping

• Transform traditional financial product structures (such as gold leasing, profit distribution, structured products) into on-chain executable logic.

• Ensure smart contract logic reflects the economic, legal, and operational realities of traditional finance while leveraging blockchain's programmability.

5. Liquidity and Trading Mechanism Design

• Design the exchange's liquidity system, including market maker mechanisms, incentive models, and cross-market linkage.

• Build a multi-path settlement system for fiat currency/stablecoins to improve asset liquidity and trading efficiency.

• Monitor liquidity metrics and continuously optimize mechanisms to sustain robust market operations.

6. Ecosystem and Partner Integration

• Establish a cooperative system with custodian institutions, auditing firms, law firms, and cross-chain infrastructure.

• Promote the deep integration of traditional finance and the on-chain ecosystem.

• Engage with industry alliances, regulatory sandboxes, and technology consortia to drive ecosystem growth and adoption.

• Position the exchange as a leader in RWA innovation by bridging traditional finance and decentralized finance through strategic partnerships and ecosystem initiatives.

Job Requirements

1. Education Background

Bachelor's degree or above in Financial Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, or related fields; MBA/CFA/FRM preferred.

2. Experience Requirements (Core)

• 5-10+ years of experience in the financial industry, with a background in as many of the following: exchanges/financial markets/asset management/ trading.

• Familiar with precious metals (especially gold) business, including spot trading, leasing, arbitrage, trading, or clearing systems.

• At least 5 years of experience in blockchain/digital assets/RWA, with experience in exchanges or asset on-chain projects preferred.

3. Core Competencies

• Dual Cognitive Abilities (Key Focus)

• Deep understanding of traditional finance (securitization/SPV/trust/commodity trading)

• Familiarity with Web3 technology systems (smart contracts, token standards, cross-chain, DeFi, etc.)

• Business Abstraction Ability

• Ability to transform non-standard assets into standardized on-chain asset models (RWA core competency) - i.e. Understanding of Smart Contracts. Tokenisation etc

• Understanding of Liquidity and Market Structure

• Understanding of exchanges, OTC, market-making mechanisms, and cross-market pricing logic

• Strong Compliance and Regulatory knowledge and understanding within regulated Exchange space, VASPs, Licensed Trading Platforms for the Asia Pacific and globally- with particular expertise in HK/ Mainland China.
