Pay Range

This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.

Johns Manville in Tucson is looking for a CNC Machinist to join our team for our weekend shift. Hours are Friday through Monday: 4:30am-2:30pm.

Qualified candidates will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of CNC mills and lathes. This role includes setup, maintenance, inspection, and adherence to all safety protocols. If you are someone with a good attitude and a team player, you should apply today!

The Tucson facility is a full-service manufacturer, production and job shop machining operation for Johns Manville.

Your Day to Day:

• Operate CNC mills and lathes; perform setups and basic troubleshooting.
• Load programs, set offsets, and maintain tooling.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools; apply GD&T principles.
• Follow safety procedures, use PPE, and participate in safety meetings.
• Maintain equipment, coolant levels, and housekeeping standards.

What You Bring to the Team:

• 13 years CNC machining experience.
• Extensive experience as a CNC Technician with a focus on safety and operational competencies.
• Strong understanding of CNC machine setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow SOPs.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and CNC setup.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and safety focus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
• Prolonged periods of standing and working on machines.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Work Environment: 

• Manufacturing plant with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery. 
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
