Many Fabrication & Engineering (MF&E) is a Gunnedah-based structural steel fabrication and engineering company with a purpose-built workshop and a reputation for quality work. We service clients across local, regional, and state-wide projects — from structural workshop fabrications through to heavy maintenance on operating mine sites. The Roles

We're hiring for two streams — and if you're across both, even better:

Fabrication Boilermaker — Workshop-based structural fabrication from drawings and specs. A quality-focused environment with a great range of projects.

Heavy Maintenance Boilermaker — On-site maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including mine site shutdowns and breakdowns. Hands-on problem-solving in the field.

Both roles involve a mix of workshop and site-based work, with deployment to local mine sites.

 
Key Responsibilities

Fabrication, assembly, and welding to technical drawings and project specifications
Preventative and reactive maintenance on heavy equipment — workshop and field
Working alongside tradespeople, apprentices, and supervisors to deliver safe, on-spec work
Maintaining safety and compliance standards at all times
 
What We're Looking For

We're after experienced, trade-qualified Boilermakers who take pride in their work. If you tick most of the boxes below, we'd love to hear from you:

Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking)
Experience in boilermaking, welding, and/or heavy maintenance
Competent across MIG, TIG, and stick welding
Mine site safety tickets advantageous — we'll fund the gaps for the right person
Current driver's licence
Australian work rights required
