Job Summary:
NewRange is looking for a motivated Geologist to support drilling programs at the NorthMet and Sunrise Cu-Ni-PGE projects, located in northern Minnesota. Reporting to the Geoscience Supervisor, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for logging drill core, assistance with drill program execution and delivering geological interpretations that contribute to resource modelling and mine planning. The successful candidate can expect to participate in field activities from Hoyt Lakes to Babbitt, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of the drill programs. Field work for this temporary role is anticipated to begin mid January 2026 and end around late December 2026.

Overview:
Located in the historic iron range mining region of northeastern Minnesota, NewRange is a 50:50 joint venture of subsidiaries of Teck American Inc. (Teck) and PolyMet Mining Corp. (Glencore) that is advancing two major copper-nickel-platinum-palladium deposits, NorthMet and Sunrise. Project activities range from readying the feasibility stage NorthMet project for a production decision pending clearance of mine permits to advancing the nearby Sunrise project to pre-feasibility studies and permitting. NewRange is committed to unlocking a new domestic supply chain of critical metals for the transition to a low-carbon economy and positioning Minnesota as a world leader in sustainable mineral resource development.
NewRange will be conducting drilling programs in 2026 to further define the resource and to provide geological, geotechnical, and hydrogeological information that will ultimately inform an updated mine plan. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing and dedicated team committed to working safely while incorporating input from stakeholders, consultants, and regulators to advance a world-class development opportunity in one of the world's most prospective metallogenic belts for copper, nickel, and platinum group metal mineralization.

Responsibilities:
· Promote a safety leadership culture by ensuring that proper safety practices are followed in accordance with NewRange's health and safety policies.
· Responsible for detailed geological logging and interpretation of drill core.
· Collection of various geotechnical and physical property data.
· Careful attention to detail for sample selection, entering data into data management system and collection of high-resolution core photography.
· Conduct fieldwork including flagging of routes or boundaries and drill site reclamation as required.
· Working directly with drill contractors or survey contractors on site.
· Support with daily environmental, health and safety tasks, and project management tasks as requested.
· Organize data and samples collected daily and prepare samples for shipment.
· Support digitization, management, and interpretation of geoscience data.
· Integration and transformation of geoscience data and information into knowledge that directly contributes to resource modelling, mine planning, and mine design.
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Geoscience or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of a degree. Current enrollment in post-secondary studies in a geoscience discipline would be considered.
· Relevant geoscience experience, including exposure to mineral exploration and igneous petrology. Specific experiences in the geology of magmatic sulfide deposits, core logging, geotechnical logging, drill site management, geologic mapping, geochemical and geophysical applications are all viewed as assets.
· Familiarity with software such as ArcGIS, Leapfrog, Excel, and PowerPoint is an asset.
· Proactive, attentive to detail, and results oriented.
· Excellent organizational, planning, management, and decision-making skills.
· First Aid training and/or Wilderness First Aid training, and/or MSHA certification is an asset.
· Ability to safely lift and move core boxes (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods.
· Willing to contribute to a team that shares responsibility for project deliverables and outcomes.
· Fluent spoken and written English language skills are required.
