Job Title: Fabrication Operator
Location: Holdrege, NE
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour to start (pay increase once hired on)
Shift: 1st; Monday–Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:45 PM with overtime on Fridays
Job Description
We are hiring a skilled and motivated Fabrication Operator for a 1st shift opportunity in Holdrege, NE. This position plays a key role in manufacturing metal components and assemblies used in industrial equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Operate fabrication equipment including lasers, tables, CNC machines, saws, press brakes and welding equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, work orders and production schedules
Measure, cut, bend, drill and form metal parts to specifications
Perform basic welding, grinding and finishing tasks as needed
Inspect parts for quality, accuracy and compliance with specifications
Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and tape measures
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workstation
Report equipment issues, defects or material shortages to supervisors
Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Skills & Requirements
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to use a variety of hand and air tools
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical ability to stand and/or walk for a full 10-hour shift
Ability to push, pull, bend, kneel, twist, crawl and reach throughout the shift
Ability to lift 25–50 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds occasionally
Steel-toed boots required
