Since 1994 Dependable Metal Treating located in Kendallville, Indiana has provided quality heat – treating services to many industries within the Michiana area as well as other locations within the United States. Dependable Metal Treating has always provided high quality and on-time delivery services to its customers. This family-run business located in Northeast Indiana has an excellent opportunity for a Quality Manager to join the team. This individual will work with the other team members within the organization to maintain compliance with applicable standards, will take ownership of all quality procedures and policies, supervise Metallurgical Lab personnel, maintain document control system and continuous improvement activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Maintain document control system by being active in creating, reviewing and revising quality documents. When changes to the Quality Management system are done it will be the Quality Manager responsibility to update system to maintain the integrity of the quality management system.
2) Ensure that the quality management system conforms to the requirements of international standard 9001:2015.
3) Ensure conformance to CQI-9 Heat Treat Assessment.
4) Monitor and maintains the Pyrometry program as stated in CQI-9 and overseeing all requirements, testing and results. Including TUS studies.
5) Oversee the team responsible for quality control, lab/metallurgical testing and train each employee in their role in the quality management system.
6) Have experience in and is committed to staying up to date with all ISO 9001:2015 standards and internal auditing.
7) Maintains good working relationships with customers and promotes customer focus throughout the organization. Maintains and updates documentation for customers’ scorecards and our customer portals.
8) Has experience with non – conforming material analysis and 8D problem solving methods.
9) Work with General Manager and Production Manager on all aspects of heat treat operations to minimize issues that may affect quality or delivery of customer products.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
1) Experience as a Quality Manager in a heat-treating operation or 5 plus years in a quality management position.
2) Experience with ISO 9001:2015.
3) Heat Treating, Metallurgical experience preferred but not mandatory.
4) Proficient with computers and in Microsoft office. (Word, Excel, Outlook)
5) Able to work in a team environment and have good interpersonal communication skills.

Salary Range is $ 80,000 to $ 100,000 based on skill set and experience.
