Description
Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world!Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality team, including Quality Engineers, Technicians, and Inspectors.
- Own site quality strategy and KPIs, driving performance improvement across all products and processes.
- Serve as the voice of the customer within the plant and advocate for zero-defect manufacturing.
- Oversee and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
- Ensure proper use of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC across the organization.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, Five Why, and other problem-solving methodologies.
- Drive continuous improvement and waste reduction through Lean and Six Sigma principles in addition to other effective problem solving tools.
- Support launch readiness, new product introduction, and process capability improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality roles within automotive, metal stamping, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and core quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
- Proven leadership experience and strong problem-solving skills.
- Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).
- Experience working in a high-volume automotive environment.
