Commonwealth Rolled Products is a leading manufacturer of Aluminum rolled products for the Automotive, Commercial, and Industrial markets. The Company operates its production facility in Lewisport, KY with the support of an Automotive Innovation Center for R&D, Sales and Field Service in Madison Heights (DET), and Inside Sales in the Cleveland, OH area.
Our production facility is seeking a talented Raw Materials Scheduler for its team. The primary purpose of this role is to schedule the raw materials in accordance with the metal plan for our production facility.
Responsibilities Include:
- Actively participate in maintaining a zero-incident safety culture.

- Scheduling raw materials with suppliers in Oracle in accordance with the metal plan. This includes analyzing the metal plan and strategically scheduling raw materials (scrap/ prime/ hardeners) daily to ensure adequate throughput ability.
- Manage scheduling issues regarding cancellations/ no shows/ rescheduling requests with suppliers.
- Monitor/ maintain data /records of material flow, usage, and inventories, providing routine reports to the Materials Manager for tracking KPI metrics.
- Monitor and track supplier's delivery performance metrics and report out.
- Provide logistical support and transportation arrangements for customer return scrap, off-site "go long", purchased ingot, and toll scrap coming onto the plant site.
- Assist in compiling Lewisport molten metal costing report, i.e. generating various reports within Oracle and data entry.
- Interface with Materials Purchasing/ Receiving regarding purchase orders, suppliers, and BOL issues.
- Coordinate dross/ RSI shipments to and from Dross Processor.
- Enter total dross shipments, recovery percentages and pounds generated into spreadsheets daily and distribute monthly reports.
- Provide daily receiving schedules to plant security, corporate logistics, receiving crews, and Materials Manager.
- Provide various reports to compile metal plans and communicate receiving forecasts to Materials team during metal plan review meetings.
- Enter spreadsheets and report all loose and coil scrap shipments shipping offsite to various locations.
- Receive into Oracle all offsite scrap shipments from suppliers to storage facilities.
- Assist with Yearly Raw Materials Inventory.
- Conduct daily BMO Inventory Tracking.
- Enter Dross shipments, scrap shipments, Lewisport ingot inventory, offsite ingot inventory, and Lewisport scrap inventory totals into the production summary daily.
- Audit purchased ingot receipt and transfer paperwork.
- Provide coverage for Raw Materials Coordinator.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in supply chain or related field or any combination of education and experience.
- Solid data-entry skills with the ability to be detail-oriented
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Successful candidate will be detail oriented and exhibit high levels of accuracy
- Basic knowledge of operational and supply chain processes
- Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
- Computer proficiency required for Microsoft Office Suite application
- Must be willing to work during off hours as needed, including some weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain or a related field
- 1+ years of experience in a production and inventory planning-related field
- Working knowledge of ERP including Oracle and Legacy systems
