About the College/Unit/DepartmentThe University of Georgia Facilities Management Division is the largest of seven (7) divisions reporting to the Vice President for Finance and Administration. The exceptional staff of over 900 personnel within the division manage, operate and maintain campus landscapes, buildings and infrastructure to promote the long-term sustainability of the University.

Preferred QualificationsPosition SummaryApprentice. Assistant/Helper, accomplishes small routine maintenance tasks.Limited Developing Skillset. Routine Complexity. Perform basic installation,repair and replacement of components of electrical. Perform general maintenance and upkeep of buildings; inspect assigned buildings/related fixtures, mechanical equipment, machines, and other structural components.Operate electric and battery-powered tools such as circular saws, miter saws,drills, drill presses, reciprocating saws, grinders, metal brakes with directs supervision. Transport building materials over long distances and up several levels. Safely build and utilize scaffolding with direct supervision

- Frame structures using wood and metal materials

- Safely build and utilize scaffolding with direct supervision
