Full-time teaching faculty provide instruction aligned with the college’s strategic goals and evaluate students’ progress to facilitate achievement of their educational goals.
In addition to the job description, faculty members teaching in grant supported programs are required to adhere and to comply with all provisions, qualifications, policies, and procedures set forth in the grant. In the event that the grant requirements contradict or add to the job description, the requirements of the grant will take precedence.
This provision shall not be used to shift administrative responsibilities to the faculty member. Further, the Vice President of Teaching, Learning and Student Development agrees to meet and discuss grant requirements with the Association President and/or Association representatives.
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in welding engineering or welding related field, plus 2000 hours or related work experience; or demonstrated tested experience; associates degree in welding related field and 4000 hour of related work experience, including journeyman status, and/or relevant industry certifications and work experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of beginning to advanced blueprint reading.
Considerable skill to operate fabrication equipment such as band saws, shears, drill press, brakes, belt sanders and various grinding equipment.
Candidate must be able to instruct welding safety, theory and practical hands on demonstrations in OAW, OAC, SMAW, GMAW, GTAW and PAC in all welding positions and joint configurations.
Strong knowledge in the metallurgical understanding of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum.
Candidate must be willing to work up to four evenings a week.

1. AWS Certified Welding Inspector 2. AWS Certified Welding Educator 3. Welder Qualification Test Reports from previous positions held 4. OSHA 10 Certification 5. 2-3 years’ experience in, and knowledge of, robotic and pipe welding
