Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a practical, creative, and extremely talented hands-on Senior Applications Specialist to join our applications development team. The Sr. Application Specialist will be responsible for providing local, site-specific support for our product development functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for data package generation, design and execute systematic studies, optimize existing products, scaleup and testing of proprietary additives and components coming from research and development. The successful candidate will characterize the processes utilizing DoE methodologies and the deposits by physical and chemical methods providing feedback to research and development. In addition, they will assist in developing and implementing analytical techniques for products and processes.
What will you be doing?
Characterizing and optimizing existing and newly developed products for electrodeposition of metals for the semiconductor industry including damascene, wafer level packaging and compound semi.
Execution of DoE's to test existing and new formulations for viability and optimization.
Able to observe, analyze, calculate and interpret results, prepare reports and recommend further action based on results.
Generate relevant technical data for marketing presentations and specific applications.
Assist in commercialization of the existing and new products by discussing results directly with customers and assist in alpha scale up study at internal global application centers if needed.
Actively participate in work group team meetings to address safety, process improvement, problem solving, and other work group, department, and functional topics.
Hold self to highest standards on safety. Committed to build strong safety culture in all laboratory and related activities.
Effective communication skills are necessary for working with the external customers as well
Accountable for a project and achieving specific technical goals within that project.
Keep up with new techniques and methods developed in the field.
Ability to maintain instruments mechanically a plus.
Ability to work in a high paced and multi-task environment. Self-motivated. Team oriented.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to convey technical information effectively and concisely to engineering, sales, technicians, etc
Who are You?
PhD or master's degree in chemical engineering or related field
3-5 years of related experience working in chemistry laboratories
