About this role
This position supervises entry and intermediate professional level employees or team leaders of production employees and sets day-to-day goals. Manages cell productivity and guides scheduling, sequencing of work, and production innovation to optimize production.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and leading a team of 60-80 people to achieve operational, quality, and continuous improvement goals through training, coaching, discipline, and effective communication.
- Championing the use of continuous improvement tools to reduce downtime, improve quality, reduce scrap, and meet labor efficiency targets.
- Implementing product and engineering changes effectively and efficiently.
- Modeling and promoting adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies and initiatives.
- Prioritizing safety when assigning work to team members.
- Monitoring work order progress to ensure quality and timely completion.
- Maintaining accurate records of timecards and overtime.
- Review production schedules for assembly lines and then use that information to schedule the sheet metal stamping equipment.
- Fostering a positive working relationship with union representatives by adhering to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of experience in operations or supply chain management
- 1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
- 2+ years of experience reviewing production schedules and setting dynamic schedules in high volume production manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree with 2+ years of experience in operations or supply chain management
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, sheet metal stamping or similar industry.
- Experience supervising unionized teams.
- Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Work 2nd shift hours: 5pm to 3:30am (EST).
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
