Description
Tooele Technical College, a public education institution within the Utah System of Higher Education, seeks a visionary, student-centric leader to guide the institution through a transformative era of regional growth.
As the chief executive for technical education in one of Utah’s fastest-growing regions, the President will need to maintain institutional autonomy while adapting to shifting legislative priorities and strengthening cooperation and coordination with industry professionals, other technical colleges, and degree-granting institutions.
The next President will be a leader who will advance the college’s mission, role, and priorities with the following qualities and qualifications.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree is required. A master’s degree from an accredited institution and industry experience are preferred.
- Proven success in executive-level management, ideally within technical education, workforce development, or a related industry. Classroom experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning and organizational growth.
- Experience with accreditation processes and compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to build industry partnerships and legislative relationships.
Tooele Technical College is an open-enrollment public technical college serving high school students and adults in Tooele County and surrounding areas. With an annual enrollment of over 1,300 students, Tooele Tech provides a highly trained workforce for the region and the state of Utah, awarding 481 certificates in the 2025 fiscal year.
